Welcome to the Counseling Department​

The Counseling Department is here for you to provide academic counseling, instruction, and services that assist you in attaining your educational, occupational, and personal/life goals.​                    

Counselors are available for same-day drop-in telephone service as well as online or telephone appointments Monday through Friday (707) 527-4451 or (707) 778-3914. Please see below for more information or click here for our Online Counseling Services.​

Starting in Fall 2021, the Santa Rosa and Petaluma campuses will have limited in-person counseling appointments. No drop-in in-person counseling is available at this time. In-person appointments can only be made by contacting our administrative staff at (707) 527-4451. These appointments cannot be made online at this time.

Click on the “Connect with a Counselor” button if you are a part of a Learning Community or other special programs and services like DRD, EOPS, CalWORKs, Veterans, Athletics, ESL, MESA, Second Chance, Career Counseling or International Student Program.

Same-Day Phone or Zoom Drop-In 

You may call (707) 527-4451 or (707) 778-3914 to be placed on the first come, first served drop-in list in which a Counselor will call you back when you are next in line.

If you have a preferred Counselor, please be sure to mention the Counselor's name when being placed on the drop-in list.

New! You may also add your name to the telephone drop-in list by going to your Student Portal. 

Click on "Messages and Appointments." Under "Academic Counseling," click on Drop-in Counseling.

Please note: The online drop-in system only allows a limited number of students to sign-up at a time. When the max has been reached, you will not be added. However, you can call (707) 527-4451 or (707) 778-3914 to be added to the drop-in list anytime during our business hours.

Phone Appointments​

This is a 30-minute phone appointment with a Counselor.

You may use your Student Portal to schedule, cancel or reschedule your phone appointment.

Online Zoom Appointment

This is a 30-minute appointment using Zoom and requires you to have access to a webcam, speakers, internet access and microphone.

In-Person Counseling Services Fall 2021

The Counseling Office will be offering a limited amount of in-person Counseling appointments per week on the Santa Rosa and Petaluma campuses for students who are unable to attend a Zoom or Phone Appointment.

Petaluma will have six in-person appointments on Tuesdays and Santa Rosa will have four in-person appointments on Wednesdays. These appointments fill quickly, so please call our Counseling Office at (707) 527-4451 to reserve a slot. Students will be required to wear a mask, and do a symptom self-check prior to entering the building for the appointment.

If no in-person appointments are available, we do offer Zoom and Phone appointments, as well as same-day phone and Zoom drop-in Counseling Monday-Friday. Please see this page for Phone or Zoom Appointments and Drop-In.

Financial Aid Counseling​
